*Spoiler Warning*: Plot and ending details about the latest Heroes episode.

The more I watch Heroes, the more disappointed I’m getting, and I’ll tell you why. As a man of science, I need a science-fiction story with as few holes as possible. In my last post, I pointed out a few of the discrepancies that bothered me. Well, I think the writers need to go back to the drawing board after this one.

The biggest issue I have with this episode are the following:

  1. In the scene where Sylar kills Brian Davis with the quartz crystal, Sylar momentarily has a revelation that he can either feel or detect there’s something ‘wrong’ with Mr. Davis’ brain. I felt it was implied that Sylar could detect the abnormalities in a person’s brain - much like his fascination with the intricacies of a watch. I’m suspecting he absorbs a person’s power by glimpsing at the workings of their brain - hence, the reason for chopping off people’s heads. In any case, if he could detect Mr. Davis’ powers, why in the world did he kill the wrong cheerleader in the last episode? That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
  2. Finally, the Jessica/Nikki storyline is old. If they don’t connect them to the others in the next episode, I say just kill them off because this past episode was a serious distraction to the original theme.

I know, I know - I was all excited about Heroes, but the more I think about these episodes, the more disappointed irritated I’m getting. We can only hope they do a better job next week…
